Background
Every time, I brought a new technology to a market that did not have it yet
- From 1997 — the customer side. I protected RSNET, the network that gave Russian federal agencies access to the internet. I set up the first firewalls there, at a time when the words NGFW and IPS did not exist yet.
- Informzashchita. I taught at the training centre. That is where the second part of my career started: explaining difficult things so that people can use them later.
- 2007 — IBM. I developed IBM Security after IBM bought Internet Security Systems: Proventia IPS, security scanners and vulnerability management.
- HP Enterprise Security. TippingPoint IPS and ArcSight SIEM — detection together with event correlation, for large companies.
- 2014–2022 — Palo Alto Networks. Eight years selling NGFW in Russia, when almost nobody was buying one, and also XDR, Zero Trust and SASE. Today everybody wants an NGFW.
- Positive Technologies. I developed PT NAD and took part in the launch of PT NGFW — from building the market to the first installations.
- Now — my own practice. Security and AI security consulting, corporate training, a course on how to present and sell from the stage, moderation, and the Network Security conference.

Working language
Russian and English, and I will tell you which one fits your audience
Most of my talks are in Russian, for Russian-speaking audiences. I also speak and moderate in English. For a mixed audience, please choose the language early: it changes the speed of the talk and the way questions work.
